I had to make the stars on the front smaller than the block as they didn't line up perfectly. That way the star fit on the block in back too..

There are continuous stars around the blue border on front. The thread was red but doesn't show up on this picture.

I can't believe what I am seeing. You lines that up so the backing was a second quilt and the design is so perfect for it. I am in awe.
