This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Amigurumi: Design Your Own Monster »

Instructions

Because I wanted to use up scrap yarn, I had to improvise. Eyelash/furry yarn is extremely difficult for me (as a novice crocheter) to work with so I switched to knitting in the round for the body middle and limited it to one or two crochet rounds everywhere else. For the nose, I held the cotton and furry together and then used the furrier side out.

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Toy

For: Girls

Style: Funky, Cute

Materials

Cotton yarn; furry novelty yarn; buttons

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use locking clips to pin legs into place prior to sewing on!! Mine are lopsided because I did one and then the other...ack! Oh well! I just left it as I had already planned on the different length arms and different button eyes so figured it just makes it even more funky looking. But in the future I will pin into place to make sure I get the legs where I want them.
