What was your inspiration?
The bright fire engine red satin I bought last week - I realised I was probably never going to make any wearable clothing out of it, so I used it to embellish this plain elastic waist skirt I made.

What are you most proud of?
It's a great conversation piece - so different to what you could buy in the shops - and I love that something I made can be so individual. It's been a great way to talk to people about my hobby.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Its so quick and easy - anyone can make a skirt like this. Then consider adding your own embellishments, flowers, beads, embroidery. Make your project your own !
