I decided to make this card as part of a New Year's Resolution inspired by Alton: to send one homemade card/letter a month in 2014. I began today! I made this card for a person in my life who's halfway through completing a yoga teacher training course. I plan on sending a note of encouragement/congratulation with a focus on the blossoming of the lotus flower as a metaphor for growth and beauty.

I love that idea! Nice job. People definitely can appreciate it much more when something is made by you personally and they see the effort that went into it. I love your New Year's Resolution!
