What was your inspiration?
I was hired to make this quilt for a friend's daughter who has been a polka dot girl since she was little. I saw a polka dot quilt on this site and loved it so much I created my own design and applique/embroidery.
What are you most proud of?
The quilt truly depicted the personality of the young girl. She was so excited and thrilled. She loved the colors, and every day found more detail in the quilt. We used favorite quotes from Dr. Seuss that depicted her fun nature!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The embroidery took over two nights on it's own. Take your time use your imagination and it all works out.
