Materials
Cotton fabric for both the outer layer and lining of the bag, non-woven interfacing and iron on trim.
What was your inspiration?
I saw this fabric going through the fabric bins at Fabricland and I just had to have it. The colourful dots spoke to me.
What are you most proud of?
I'm proud of the way it turned out finding the right fabrics to put together to form the bag and of the trim I added as an afterthought. I'm just sorry that I couldn't add an inside pocket for some reason I couldn't find the lining fabric leftovers.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Sometimes it's better to wait on using a piece of fabric when starting a project. You need to think it through and look for the right pieces to put together. It's a good idea to use a thicker fabric for the outside of the bag.
