What are you most proud of? The sails and the waves.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Allow plenty of time for the sails to dry.

Great cake - sail boat, how did you make the waves so realistic?

Using blue and white royal icing.. Then when fully dry lightly paint with cooking oil. Makes them look wet.

How did you make the sails? This cake is great!

Take some fondant and mix in some CMC. rollit ot thin and cut out the size of the sail. Then the trick is to lye the fondant over a thin layer of foam over a piece of card that you have bent into the shape you want. put the holes in for the mast. Leave it there for at least three days to dry.
