Instructions

I do not have a pattern online for this small bag. I just made sure my bag width was wider than my photo and then added seam allowance. I also had to make sure the bag was wide enough for the name I wanted to embroider on it. I also made up the little purse as I went....it was a little girls "first purse"...she loved it. I designed the hat and have the pattern somewhere if you should want ...

If I do not draw it myself, I usually use this site.

What was your inspiration?

My inspiration for the little bag was just making a bag big enough to put our pictures with Santa on them for gifts of all ages. I have given these to my aunts from their grown children even! I was inspired to make the little elf hat just because I had made a homemade manequin head and this was what I came up with as my first hat. The bag was probably inspired more by the rest of the outfit than anything else.

What are you most proud of?

I am proud that I was able to make so many cute things for so many kids before my disability got so bad that I had to close my home business.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Do not wait until the last minute to take on a project with mulitple items in it. You need to pace yourself and take plenty of breaks. Also, you will need to have a couple days in advance to prepare the fabric for printing the photo, so make sure you read ahead on that and don't wait too late to get your photo made.

Oh well, I can't either really. So I turned to crochet so that I at least can make a toe and heel....lol...I did enroll in the sock class but I am yet to do anything with it. I am taking Linda's Beyond Rectangles but had every kind of yarn but what she is using. It should be fun.

at the moment all my baby boy patterns are being borrowed by a lady from my church, but I believe its from a book of all kinds of baby items and I got it at Walmart when they had the large craft sections still...the book told everything, how to make anything baby related you could imagine but they tended to run a little small so I learned to change the patterns just a little. I've asked the lady to bring me back the patterns but she's super busy w/kids and work and forgets. I'll try to remind her and then I can give you name AND get my patterns back! lol
