Materials

I didn't really know what to start with so I went with 2 yards of each color. I had some left over orange since I only used it for the border. The blocks were approx. 8" blocks.

What was your inspiration?

My daughter loves the peace signs from the 70s. I found this fabric at Hancock Fabrics and knew as soon as I saw it she would love it.

What are you most proud of?

This was my 2nd try at free motion quilting on the border. It is not a specific design which made it easy to do.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be patient as always when quilting. When doing this pattern, it helps to do a couple of sample blocks reversing the material to see which one you like best. I posted the samples on facebook and got opinions from my friends.

I also love anything with peace signs on it. I love the colors you picked. The bright turquoise caught my eye immediately. You did a great job making your quilt and you must have one proud and lucky daughter. "Right on man"
