Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Design It, Quilt It: Free-Form Techniques »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Women

Style: Romantic

Materials

cotton fabric and thread, organdy on the shadow trapunto

What was your inspiration?

One of our bee members was moving, so we made her a round robin quilt to remember us by. I did the quilting and the shadow trapunto blocks.

What are you most proud of?

We all put our special touches on the quilt, doing what we do best.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't iron the organdy, it melts!!

It literally took my breath away. I gasped when I saw it, it was so pretty. I love Victorian. The back is where I spent most of my time looking. Oh how pretty the back is. Those little pebbles are timeconsuming but you use them so effectively. It just all looked so great. My favorite thing is the secondary design of the stem of the feather, how it meets and frames under the corner of the bird's block. Well that is my favorite until I look at your background behind the bird or the design of the shadow trapunto on the back. Thanks for the tip on the ironing.
