What was your inspiration?

My green chair was slipcovered in green chenille. It's about 15 years old -- I wanted to lighten things up.

What are you most proud of?

The fact that it fits really well. I had never made a slipcover before, so something basic like an ottoman was a logical place to start. My next project is the chair.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take your time and pin...pin...pin. I used a heavy-duty drop cloth from Home Depot. It worked really great. Because it's cotton/poly it doesn't wrinkle as much when it's washed.

Thanks everyone! I still haven't started on the matching chair. Soon...that's what I keep telling myself.
