Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Denyse Schmidt Chicopee and osnaburg (a utility cotton); vintage silk thread from my grandmothers thread stash. Designed, pieced and quilted as a gift for my sister's 50th birthday. Karla J. Buchholz Turner.

What are you most proud of? That my FMQing is improving.

Wonderful. The osnaburg works so very well in your project, its adds so very much texture to your creation. I like the colors you chose & your quilting really sets it off. Well done. Thank you for sharing.

I fell in love with osnaburg during this small project. I am heading out to add it to my permanent stock of sashing and backing material in my stash. Thank you for your sweet comments. I always count on your encouragement!

Dear ellebeesquilts, try some of the other colors also. They are also great in the middle of a rag quilt. They put a lovely texture to it after it is washed. Have fun shopping. :-)

Thank you for the recommendation to try some other colors. Is there a place / store you recommend that carries colors? I have only found natural.
