I am knitting with King Cole Merino Blend Double Knitting I was nearly finished Olivia hat and had been using 4mm circular needle, but found hat was floppy and was not sitting nice. So had another ball so have started another hat using 4mm for rib then 6mm for the basket weave and its come up great. I am using Bamboo needles nice feeling on fingers when working. I want to crochet a flower undecided yet which hat to add flower. The crochet or the knitted hat.

What was your inspiration?

I made this last year myself using Manos de uruguay Silk Blend yard which is too expensive for an every day hat.

A fiend has asked me to make 2 hats for her so 1 shall be knitted other crocheted.

What are you most proud of?

My acheivement now to be able to knit as I lost most of my litte left finger when I was 8 and had never learned to knit as it was too painful.

So now I am self taught and piick up and drop knitting down when I get sore .

Crochet is not so painful.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go for it .

A lot of nice yarn colours out there.

I shall be posting a in progress photo on my blogger later.
