Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Instructions

I paper piece the Carol Doak method, so I didn't really follow the directions, I did it the way I was used to. As another tip, I use a wall paper seam roller to flatten my seams so that I don't have to iron inbetween each piece.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Funky, Whimsical, Cute, Classic, Traditional, Casual

Materials

Cotton Material. Focus and black and white prints.

What are you most proud of?

I finished the last block October 31! That means that I didn't fall that far behind and I caught up at the very end!

I've always loved the fabrics you chose for this project and these final two blocks look especially gorgeous. Your quilt is going to be amazing!

Oh I can't wait to show you all what I am doing for the setting.... ? I love big quilts... king size... so the setting I have for these will make it into a 108x108 quilt... It is black and white and the focus fabric... with 12 setting blocks and borders.... I needed 21 blocks so I remade the blying geese circle block only counter clockwise... :-) I will try to get some setting blocks done her in the next day or two so you can see them and I will post the layout when I get the top put together.... I hope life doesn't push finishing this project off tooooo much :-)

Now that all the blocks are done, I tend to like to make larger quilts so I am going to play with the setting... I have a good selection of the black and whites and focus... plus a coordinate left so who knows what I will come up with!
