What materials did you use? This oblong loom is made from English oak in the centre and African sapele for the side sections. It comes with a recycled steel needle and the pins are brass. The loom is completely hand cut, shaped and sanded, then finished with Danish wood oil for protection and to highlight the colour and pattern of the wood. It will produce a finished item of 19.5cm x 7cm or 7 11/16 x 2 3/4 inches. Loom size - Length -20.5cm or 8 1/16 inches Width - 8cm or 3 1/8 inches Thickness - 2cm or 3/4 inch The pins are brass and are laid out - 40 along each long side and 15 across each end (including corners). They are at 5mm intervals and protrude aprx 8mm. The recycled steel needle measures 12.5cm or 4 15/16 inches. Wood - African sapele - Entandrophragma cylindricum. English oak - Quercus robur.
