What materials did you use? Polar fleece for the back and quilt cotton fabrics for the topper

This is my first large-scale quilt attempt. I made a cot quilt for a friend of mine's baby in New York. He's a Kiwi so I used Buzzy Bee fabric, which is an iconic toy in New Zealand.

Rambo(friend) is going to be a grandpa and wants camo baby quilt, nothing baby..ish(his words) purchased camo fabric that has greens, browns and black. If I use solid or blender like colors could I use the 9 patch pattern?

Absolutely! You could use the camo as I've used the bees and maybe a khaki green for the lemon. It might look really cool with black, too. Maybe you could find some camo polar fleece for the back.

Can't see why not, it should look fabulous
