Instructions

This uses a slip stitch allowing the chunky yarn to sit on top of the worsted yarn.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Unisex

Style: Hipster, Cute, Mod, Casual, Outdoorsy

Materials

Silk Garden and Silk Garden Chunky by NORO. 1 ball each. You can use any worsted weight coupled with a chunky yarn.

What was your inspiration?

The inspiration came from the long color changes in the Noro yarns. The title came from the camp i was living and working at in Alaska....I was told it was desert like....but it rained so much we had major flooding....

What are you most proud of?

How the chunky yarn "sits" on top of the worsted yarn....and how both yarns do their own thing in color. You can have alot of fun with the color changes.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Follow the instructions word for word. Its not a complicated pattern.
