What was your inspiration?

The backing and border fabric! I fell in love with the jelly fish. at the time I had only done one other sampler before. I wanted to do something special for my little man.

What are you most proud of?

The FMQ. This was the first blanket I had ever done FMQ on. My placemats were a build up and practice for this and I am so happy at how it turned out!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I think samplers are fun and a great way to practice piecing skills and FMQ skills. :) just dig up some block patterns and dive right into one! I think I might try a lap quilt sampler using some websites with some block patterns. you know, for fun! :)

Love this! Bright, happy and just wonderful. I want to start FMQ, just trying to understand my machine. This may get me going in that direction!

I love the strong, bold colours - it's a real boy's quilt. Your FMQ is great too!

Thank you! One of my favorites is the orange. It is camoflauge. It has since been named "star" because of the stars. :)
