What was your inspiration?
I love the look of the old classic newsboy hats. So I drew from that, put a little modern twist to it and these newsboy hats were born!
What are you most proud of?
I love that this hat is reversible and can be easily made with re-purposed/up-cycled materials. I try to make my designs as useful and useable as possible.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun! Take a peek in your closet before you buy fabric. You would be surprised what you can use to make these hats. I have used old khakis, corduroy, tweed jackets, cotton shirts, cargo shorts, you name it!
