What was your inspiration?

The bride & groom became engaged in New York. She found this cake design in a magazine (can't remember who the original designer was but her cake looked a lot better than mine!). The bride asked me duplicate it. The cake is covered in buttercream with fondant ribbons around the top three tiers. On the bottom tier, I used gumpaste to cut out "buildings" and hand painted them to look like the buildings in New York. I also made the topper the same way. Thanks for looking! Lisa

I see that it was all white from one of the previous comments, but did you spray it with a tinge of blue at all? Shame, I know the feeling of bad lighting. It's so aggravating. But this cake is beautiful whether it's totally white, or tinted blue. Xxx

Was the cake slightly blue and the fondant ribbons white? IT is hard for me to see it on my computer? or maybe the eyes LOL

No - it is all white - the reception hall wouldn't turn their darn lights on when I was delivering except for a spot light for me to see...grr!!!...so my pictures didn't turn out well.
