Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: I made my niece's wedding cake as a gift to her and her groom. The cake was a 3 tier cake with 2 additional 14" filled and iced cakes given to the caterer to cut and plate while the bride and groom cut their decorated cake. This way no one had to wait for cake and once they cut their cake it too was plated and served. The cake was vanilla bean lemon filled with raspberry and lemon curd and iced with a vanilla italian meringue butter cream and an almond vanilla bean cake filled with a bittersweet chocolate ganache and decorated with an almond italian meringue buttercream. I made the cake to match the beautiful dress she wore. It was covered with rosettes just like the skirt of her dress, with the middle layer done in simple swiss dots.
