I did not do the cone flower as the course suggested, instead I found a picture that I liked and used what I learned from Wendy's course to do my project. I learned lots of lessons (usually what NOT to do) and am anxious to do a wall hanging I will use in my home. i love this!! so simple and beautiful. this inspired me to try this class. i have a picture of my daughter in a long tutu taken before her dance recital. i am going to use that picture and hope my quilt looks something like this one. The pose is similar and the tutu is long and spread out like this red dress ... lovely.

You have branched out to use your own design with the pictorial applique technique.. I love the impressionist approach you took and the fabric for her dress really pops!
