It was great taking this class. I found the ideal photos to copy. I had two black and white photos of my grandparents so I used artistic licence for the colours.

OMG! is that fabric with wood grain or did you draw that!! Love your bi-fold album. I would like to encourage you to add some shadows. I see your "light" in the middle so the far left cheek of granddad and the far right cheek of your grandmom should be a bit darker...Look at the original pics and add the darks in the hair, eyes etc and that is what adds dimension. Must find time to do pictures of people!! this is fantastic!

You did a great job. The one thing that I love about this technique is that you can make it your own. You did that. You have given us the pleasure to meet your grandparents. What a lovely gift to the future generations of your family.

Thank you for a great class. It is surprising what you can do with just colouring in pencils. I didn't meet these grandparents so it was a great first project to do

I had a comment from Borncook which does not show up here. To answer her questions- The wood grain fabric came like that, I have had it in my stash for a couple of years. Thanks for the hints on shadowing. Some is there but I took the photo with a flash so it has wiped out some of the colour. Thank you for your great comments. This was great fun to do.

You even captured the pearls beautifully and the texture of his jacket. Fine job.
