What was your inspiration?
I have been wanting to knit socks for some time and this pattern was one of the least intimidating I found for my first attempt. A classic heavy winter sock.
What are you most proud of?
Having successfully knit a proper looking sock! Turning the heel was the highlight of the project, as that was the most challenging aspect.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The only advice I have when you are turning the heel and beginning to decrease your gusset, the directions don't tell you that you need to "hold" the extra stitches. That may be obvious to a more experienced knitter but it took me a little time to figure that out on my own.
