My first successful bread baking experience EVER! Thank you Peter Reinhart! I had to run to town in the middle of the final rise, so I didn't get quite as much oven rise as I should have (got hung up in town a little too long) but the crust is crunchy, the crumb is chewy, the mouthfeel is custardy, and it tastes DELICIOUS. High fives & big hugs, everybody!!!
