Furry Fairies »
InstructionsThe pattern is written for 2 needles. I converted it to be knit in the round. It is so much cuter without seams! I used gold embroidery floss (6 strands) to knit the wings and star.

What was your inspiration?
I love the whimsy of fairies.
What are you most proud of?
This week the children in my Grade 1 class drew names to make a special hand made gift for one person in the class. We are all busy this weekend making our gifts. I drew the name of a little girl whose dog, Katie, had a heart attack this week and died. Her dog was a white Staffordshire Terrier, and for some reason the mouse looks just like her! I think it is the long nose.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Toys look really bad until they are stuffed - keep the faith! Each piece needs tweeking with your hand sewing and stuffing. Wool roving makes nicer stuffing than polyester fibrefill.
