Cotton fabrics, Superior Magnifico poly thread, Shiva Paintstiks

What was your inspiration?

Trying out background techniques from "Design It; Quilt It" class. This was totally for fun!

What are you most proud of?

I love the way this one turned out!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Practice on small pieces to get the techniques/motifs down, then you'll be ready to move on to bigger things.

Love your beautiful feathers!!! I also appreciate and enjoy the thread you used to quilt them with...with a busy background it appears that they appear and disappear and have a slight "glow" to them. Great job!!! :)

Do you have a longarm? You obviously have been doing this for some time! Really spectacular feathers

No, I do not have a longarm. I've been quilting for about 3 1/2 years on my Juki TL98Q. I love that machine for both piecing and quilting!
