What was your inspiration?

I've been wanting to make a monster quilt for my baby boy since I saw the peekaboo monster quilt, but that was way out of my comfort zone, so then I found this: http://www.craftsy.com/project/view/monster-baby-quilt/52819 I found cute fabric I liked and hand drew the appliqu monster based on one of the monsters in the fabric, and then got to work.

What are you most proud of?

I love the monster, especially the texture in his wings and under his mouth. And the squares. Those were time consuming.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Do it in chunks, don't set out to do it all at once. It is more than a 2-day project. I'm laughing at myself thinking about all that naive ambition!
