What are you most proud of? I love the originality of it! I haven't ever seen a quilt like this! AND I am mostly proud of the fact that I entered it into a local quilt show in July 2013, and took a 3rd place ribbon! This was my first ever entry into a quilt show, so I didn't expect anything other than showing off a quilt that I was proud of. I was shocked that I placed a ribbon! And it's third place, so I have nowhere to go but UP! Yahoo!!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The flowers are very time-consuming, and you have to have NO issue with hand-work, because there is a lot of it! I started the flowers in September 2011, and constantly worked on them whenever my husband and I drove ANYWHERE! I was even in the midst of working on the hexagons when we were T-boned by a 3/4 ton truck in December 2011 (Probably why the only broken bone was my clavicle because of my seat-belt restraining me in the roller-coaster ride from hell---I didn't see it coming because I was hand-stitching a hexagon)! But the best thing about it is you ALWAYS have something to do when traveling. I hate just sitting idle in the passenger seat!
