Instructions
The cap, which is based on Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Pi Shawl formula, begins with a provisional cast on at the center and is knit in the round outward towards the hem. Knit Picks Bare - Fingering Weight (75% Superwash Wool, 25% Nylon), 3.5 oz [100g]/462 yd [422 m]: 1 half hank. Needles: Set of 5 US 2 [2.75 mm] double-point needles or size needed to obtain gauge Size 0 [3.25 mm] steel crochet hook (for optional crocheted cap tie)
What was your inspiration?
I wanted a mob cap to go with my colonial dress pattern called Tea Time.
What are you most proud of?
The way the ruffle on the cap matches the ruffle on the dress.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is a fun, quick project and the pattern is free!
