Instructions

I did 1x1 ribbing and 2 rows of stripes/color (on the striped ones) - I also did solid colors, always w/1x1 ribbing. It just seems to fit this size mitten better than the 2x2 called for. I also used a 3 st. i-cord by picking up 3 sts. in one and then k3tog when long enough and sewing that end to the other mitten. I also only p.u. 3 sts. for thumb, not 4. What was your inspiration?

A group on Ravelry dedicated to getting things knitted for Christmas IN TIME ;-) this year. I saw some ornaments they'd linked with and fell in love. I specially love the stripes. The white I used is a glittery one - it looks like freshly fallen snow. I bought some little eighth notes buttons to sew on to one of the pair of white mittens as a gift for my piano teacher. You can really personalize these little guys.
