What was your inspiration?

When I started to show my larger Countdown to Christmas patterns to quilt shops (hoping to sell them some patterns), they all felt it was larger than most people would want. So I went back to the drawing board and started cutting my dimensions in half and came up with this small version. The finished size on this is about 30" square.

What are you most proud of?

There is such a sense of accomplishment when you complete a pattern that you hope others will enjoy as much as I have.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you are trying to decide between the two patterns, keep in mind that the mini version pockets are only 2" X 3" so items placed in them must be quite small - coins, candy, and folded money works in this smaller version.

Follow the link to my Etsy shop to order both patterns. They are great fun to make. Just made another one over the week-end to donate to our Bible Camp quilt auction next year. Once the pieces are cut, it goes together very quickly.
