What was your inspiration?
My husband loves Herman Melville's writings. When we were going to a Melville conference, I wanted to make him something to carry his books in that meant something special. He loves the bag and carries it whenever we travel. He has now had it for 4 years and it's just like it was just made.
What are you most proud of?
I love the uniqueness of the bag. I am also proud of the sturdy construction.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Enjoy making meaningful gifts.
