Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?Wow thank goodness I read the review of this pattern. Sizing is CRAZY on this pattern. Fabric Used:Loosely woven cotton (purchased for muslins) My muslin is my current favorite pull on blouse.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:After review of others on this site I took the time to take the pattern and layout and confirm finished size on envelope with finished size based on pattern. OMG does this top have excess wearing ease. I then decided to do up a muslin using a fabric I had which is navy on one side and rose on the other. Purchased locally at $2.00 Meter.
I finished the flounce edge with serger using a (3) thread overlock and hemmed the bottom edge with a rolled hem using my serger.
I used the tear away stabilizer on both the flounce edge and hem bottom and always am pleased with the results of fantastic looking stitches on my Baby Lock serger. I also used wooly nylon thread in my serger once I realized that this muslin was fast turning into a great looking blouse.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes. My oldest daughter loves the top and has selected a fabric she wants me to use for hers.
Conclusion: I think this pattern is very flattering. The princess seams provide the long line many of us are looking for to slim our plus sized figures. They also allow for tweaking of size. Fun and soft and flirty.
Give this pattern a whirl but I would suggest the lighter weight the fabric the nicer the results. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

What was your inspiration?
I love the princess seams.
What are you most proud of?
That I started on a muslin and in one day I finished a great top.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Measure carefully. The size chart on pattern is usless. Use the finished measurments size on pattern back compared to your measurements.
Scheri, I am trying to finish a heirloom nightgown, before I begin any new garments. lol It has turned out to be a bigger project than I expected, with all of the French seams. The "sassy" blouse is on my list, though! I am enjoying everyone's comments, tips and photos! Thanks, for asking :)
