Matching dresses

Pattern Info

Pattern info for this project can be found here:
Simplicity 2320 from Project Runway

Instructions

I wanted a short sleeve rather than a cap sleeve so I took the long sleeve and cut it off. I then put a pleat in the hem of the sleeve to go along with the pleats on the front of the dress.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Girls

Style: Cute, Casual

Materials

Cotton fabric, zipper, ribbon flowers, interfacing

What was your inspiration?

I was asked to make a dress for one of the granddaughters and a matching one for an 18 inch doll. I couldn't do that for one and not the other 3 when they were all getting 18 inch dolls for Christmas.

What are you most proud of?

I had to use other doll patterns and make up the dress pattern because I didn't like any of the commercial patterns. I think they look close enough to pass.
