I decided to paper piece instead of using the background fabric for the foundation. I cut a 1 1/2" wide by 11" piece of my background to go down the middle of my foundation paper after marking off the placement. From there instructions are the same.I felt this really cut down on the bulk I would have had on the seams using this method.

Materials
I used the blues and reds from the fabric line I'm using for this Craftsy BOM. I felt this took a little more skill as I used paper for my foundation instead of fabric.
