What was your inspiration?

So my sister would have something to put on her mantle in her new log cabin house.

What are you most proud of?

I made my own pattern up for this - and it was the first time I had to put pieces on point.

Very nice. I saw a Mantle Runner book once at a local quilt shop and can't find it again. Did you use a pattern or is this your design? Love it!

Love this idea! I need to make a runner for a new book shelf that has the ugly backside showing over our sofa. Something like this will work!

Thanks! It's pretty basic, just log cabin squares on point. I just measured the length of her mantle one day so I knew how long to make it. My sister loves it on her mantle.
