What materials did you use? For colorful block, simple misc. scraps of cotton/polyester. For men's project, heavier upholstery type fabric.

Thanks! I just got my machine back from repairman, and so I've resumed working on this Crazy Quilt. I am working on two Crazy Quilts right now.

I am planning to make a crazy quilt -- I like the look of your block.

Thank you. I am just using scraps and trying to be sure every block has some yellow, red or blue.

Thank you! I love color and variety. I also love anything kinda "wonky" and abstract. I've only finished the kitty quilt. I am working on the other two..the bright, colorful one and the brown and green "woodsy" one for my son-in-law. My goal is to have them both done by the end of the year, but they are very labor intensive. With all the pressing and stitching it takes about an hour just to do one block!

When I got my new machine for Christmas, with all the decorative stitches I decided I just had to make a Crazy Quilt. My goal is to one day make one with all hand embroidered embellishments - but that's further down the road.

I've just finished the first crazy quilt I started back in January when I got my new machine. I love it! I made it for a close friend and prayer partner. Can't wait to see her reaction! I am on the homestretch for finishing the second one I began back in March. It's the block pictured in "woodland" colors for my handsome son-in-law. He has a cabin in the mountains of New Mexico and thought it would be great for keeping him warm at night. I have 10 blocks to top stitch and my top will be done. Stay tuned for when I post the completed project. The 3rd crazy quilt I've finished is the pink "kitty" quilt you see. LOL...what's really ironic, is I've just signed up for the Crazy Quilt class - so maybe now I can learn the right way to make a crazy quilt! Ha!
