What materials did you use? Fleece, batting, towelling etc for lining. Insul-bright insulated lining. Quilting cotton. Quilting guide. Walking foot.
What are you most proud of? I love these longer oven mitts. But these aren?t your standard oven mitts (oven gloves if you are from the UK). I get fed up with burning my wrists on the upper shelf when I take things out of the oven, so these are drafted extra long in the arm to make sure your wrists and arms are protected too. Features: Longer length to protect your wrists and arms Can be shortened for regular length too Quilted Insulating layer and batting for heat protection Full sewing instructions are downloaded with the pattern pieces
What advice would you give someone starting this project? Drop over to So Sew Easy to get the tutorial for these. Of course you can always shorten them and make them regular length, but if you keep burning your arms and wrists like I do, make these and put a stop to it! http://so-sew-easy.com/long-arm-oven-mitts-pattern/
