What was your inspiration?
The iconic Cypress tree in Monterey Bay, California
What are you most proud of?
I think the tree itself turned out nice, it is a healthier tree than the real one though. My tree wouldn't let me beat it up as badly as the California tree is beaten up by the Pacific Ocean winds. :)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
If you would like to try a strip pieced landscape, start smaller and simpler. It is a bit tricky to line up strips to make a smooth from one landscape feature to the next. (Example - the big rock cliff that the tree grows out of.)
