Type of item: Functional

Style: Cute, Casual

Materials

Bernat Softee Chunky Yarn*: 2 2.8 oz skeins 40012 Nature's Way - color A 1 3.5 oz skein 39119 Denim Heather - color B 1 3.5 oz skein 39110 Dark Blue - color C * or other brand bulky 5 yarn. Most yarns have an icon on the label that gives the size of yarn - you can also select a thinner yarn and adjust the hook size, but the finished product will be a different size.

What was your inspiration?

The variegated yarn spoke to me on this one, and with this combination it reminds me of the antique plates in blue and brown tones. This yarn is bulky and soft, so it crochets up fast and very snugly too!

What are you most proud of?

How the color pattern turned out - I love it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This could be your first round ripple pattern. It is fairly easy for a crocheter who is familiar with reading patterns. Check out all of my free patterns here: http://crochetbymonica.gather.com/ and follow me on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/crochetbymonica. God bless you every day!
