What was your inspiration?
A wddding cake topper of doves actually. This was for a little boys baptism and the mother asked if I could do anything with doves. I found a little wedding cake topper of a male & female doves and thought they looked really cute so I figured... why not just add a little baby dove in a nest - and the loved it!
What are you most proud of?
Although the "dove" concept is a little more abstract, they look more of just a white bird family of sorts - it was my first try molding with modeling chocolate and then painting / attaching little chocolate feathers and I was really happy for a first try.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Learn as much as you can about chocolate temperature constraints - it really stinks the burn it!
