What was your inspiration?

I won the yarn in a door prize at a lys party... I decided on my flight home to make some fingerless mittens for my MIL who is always mentioning how cute and practical mine seem.

What are you most proud of?

Coming up with the pattern on the fly... also, I'm donating all sales to MSF/Doctor's Without Borders from now until Oct 31.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This particular yarn (Flat Feet) is very kinked up due to its construction... you'll need to block it pretty aggressively to get the stitches even.

The good news: you can use any sock yarn you like! And the stitch pattern on the back of the hand is great for breaking up pooling in hand-painted skeins.
