What advice would you give someone starting this project? Go for it, this is a lovely dress to make and was very easy.

Vogue V1329 - I really enjoyed making this dress, the fabric was an absolute joy to work with. However I've chosen the wrong colour of lining and to make matters worse, I don't think that I've stitched close enough to the seam when I've done my understitching, no amount of pressing makes any difference.

I like the colour blocking of the dress and the style is very flattering. Could you top stitch 1/8" from the edge to keep the lining from showing? I now top stitch just about anything, using matching thread. Lovely sewing!

I found Linda's class invaluable, there were so many things I learnt but probably the best help was the advice on cutting out using a rotary cutter and mat - it made it so much easier.

Love your color choices!

Thank you. It is a lovely dress to wear, I was just disappointed with how badly the lining sits. I haven't worked up the courage to top stitch which should fix it and then I can wear again. In fact you've spurred me on with your comment and I've got it out to do. Thank you!

Finally top stitched the neckline and armholes. It looks much better but it did take me time to work up the confidence to do it.
