What materials did you use? Basic quilting supplies, knit interfacing, wonder under, vinyl, setacolor paints.

What are you most proud of? Well... I'm glad I finished - it was a lot of work but well worth learning her techniques. I had wanted to learn how to paint fabric and had the setacolor paints. The sky in this piece is not my painting as that did not turn out well. But the water is mine and I'm happy with it. I'm not very good with free motion stitching yet or I would have added more water lines to this. I also like the back of the quilt. I did not have enough of the backing fabric for the sash so I used some fabric I had and sewed in a piece of the backing to bring it together. I used invisible thread in my bobbin so you can't see the design - next time I might use a colored thread!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? As I said above, watch all of the lessons through once to get an understanding of the process first. There are many steps and it can get a little confusing. But it was fun, too!

Wow, this is stunning! Thanks for sharing. Is that particular design available in the class or is it your own?

Never mind, I just read your comments above and saw that it is Gloria's design. :)
