Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Knit This: Mastering Lace Shawls »

Instructions

Pay attention to your counts.....use markers and life lines. I used heavy thread for the lifeline so it wouldn't stretch out the lace. Worked great.

Difficulty:

Category: Knitting

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Retro / Vintage, Romantic, Traditional

Materials

French Vanilla merino/silk/stellina 75/20/5 hand-dyed lace weight yarn by Tamsin Whithead on Etsy.

What was your inspiration?

I wanted to make something special for my granddaughter's 21st birthday. The yarn has the smallest amount of sparkle....it was perfect for the project.

What are you most proud of?

It's lace and I did it!! Very few mistakes along the way and only 1 that I could find that I didn't correct.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Use lifelines....Count your stitches frequently and pick something special to make it lovely. Laura was well organized in her class (as all of the classes I have done) and it gave me a lot of confidence to finish this project.
