What are you most proud of? I can't believe how much this looks like a real, store bought bag! I used the Chris W Snazzy Slouch pattern and an old leather jacket of my Mums.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Details of my bag are here: http://www.thingsforboys.com/2014/04/my-leather-slouch-bag.html

Excellent re-purposing of leather and I like your selection of hardware.

What a gorgeous bag. I can't afford to start with new leather for my first try, so I love your idea of repurposing an old item. Maybe I can find a piece like that at Goodwill.

Thank you! It's such a cost effective way. I also put the word out with family and friends and have 2 more jackets ready and waiting for a makeover.

That is so awesome! The leather looks so supple and comfortable because it isn't brand new, and leather wears so well that I am sure they will last you a good long time.
