What was your inspiration?
This adorable lap size patchwork quilt would be on every little (and some not so little!) girl's wish list.
Constructed from the fabric range Sherbet Pips by Aneela Hoey for Moda, the simple sashing and lattice design allows the fabric to be the star. Soft, whimsical and fun, the designs are quirky and modern. The quilt is soft and has a cuddly,'snuggle into' feel.
Size is 42" x 49" (104cm x 122.5cm).
The binding is a red and white stripe - just like being wrapped in a candy cane!!!
What are you most proud of?
I usually do not choose this style of fabric. However, it was so lovely and appealed to me greatly. It has been good to leave my comfort zone.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Accurate cutting will give you a nice straight sashing line.
