What are you most proud of? I loved the look of it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I never feel that my seams are quite as nice as they could be and that always irks me. I think I may try to learn how to do a provisional cast on and see how that turns out. Otherwise a beautiful project and ideal for someone learning how to do lace for the first time.

This is very pretty. Love the color too. I hear you about seams. I have knit/crocheted for a lot of years ( I am 58 yrs) and I have learned more really wonderful stuff in the past 5 years than I knew existed. I thought there was one way to cast on sts and one way to bind them off. haha! I have watched a lot of you tube videos to learn all kinds of different things. Garn Studio DROPS yarn website has some of the absolute best videos. And they are free. You may want to check them out. I love them. (Free patterns too ;) )

Thank you msmerricat for your kind comments. I know just how you feel about learning new things. I am 72yrs! and I too have learnt so much. Never have I made fingerless gloves or any sort of gloves before and here I am knitting up a storm (two gloves together on the Magic Loop) who'd a thought!! I find not enough time to fit everything in. Goodness knows how I found time to go to work Hahaha.. Greetings from British Columbia, Canada

Someday I will break down and knit gloves! Someday I will breakdown and learn magic Loop! I have knit some very small things lately that would be so much easier knit on a circular needle instead of double points.

Yes, you should try the Magic Loop. It took me a little while because I don't cast on to bring the stitches in line the first time, so I just cast on on double pointed needles then swap the stitches onto a very long circular needle. On website: Knit Freedom with Liat - very good for knitting two at a time and also Cabin Fever's Pattern: Shirl's Mitts #131 I use a lot and just didn't put the cable pattern on to start as I thought that might confuse me! I must have knitted at least 6 pairs now and they always turn out beautifully. Do try I am sure you will love it. Wendy

I will definitely check those sites out. I love the videos available to learn different things. The drawings in the back of magazines have never been easy to figure out. It only takes a few minutes to watch a video and you have it! Thanks! Peg
