Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Jewelry Workshop: Bead, Wrap, Chain & Etch »

Difficulty:

Category: Jewelry

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Materials

Fresh water pearls, large and medium round Swarovski crystals, large Silver round bead, hammered round Silver toggle clasp, silver head pins.

What was your inspiration?

I've always wanted to learn pearl knotting. In the past I've always used plain acrylic beading thread, crimped, glued and hoped for the best! I bought these pearls in Malaysia and kept them until I could learn how to knot them myself. I practiced a couple of times and this was the third time. Thanks for the great lesson Max!

What are you most proud of?

That I actually completed a long strand of knotted pearls!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Give it a try, you'll be really glad you did!

I do like your project! I would click "Like", but Craftsy posts it on facebook, and I have too many posts!

I practice with plastic beads, before I commit to the pearls. https://www.facebook.com/PearlsAndDenim

Me too although I am my worst enemy. I sometimes delay and practice too much and end up saying to myself "just do it" ;-D

I practiced before starting this after watching Max' class. When I started it I was quite worried about making a mistake so there was a little stress for me. I think the more you practice the less you'll worry about making mistakes - I hope anyway! So, more practicing for me, I love pearls!
